Nestled at the bottom of a private track, Far Boathouse is a beautifully appointed tranquil, Romantic retreat right on the edge of Ullswater, in fact you don’t actually see it until you descend down toward towards the lake. Far enough from the noise and bustle of life, but within easy access to the real world, only a 15-minute drive from the M6. This traditional workers cottage in Eskdale green gives you a wonderfully cosy retreat and an ideal base for exploring. The cottage is a traditional '2 up 2 down' that has been modernised sympathetically for a cosy break away. Bedding and towels provided. Heat is provided by storage heaters and the front room has a log burning stove for a super cosy stay. There is a selection of books, maps, DVD's & children's toys. There is a smart tv and new unlimited WIFI for streaming you favourite films.

Park your car safely off road with ample space. Restaurants, bars, takeaways, Tesco and Coop are close by. You can take the car ferry to the far side of the lake from Bowness, or explore lake Windermere with the Lake cruises that leave Bowness.
