Alnwick castle(filming location for Harry Potter)is a 45 min drive in land.

Traditional terraced house in the former mining town of Blackhall Colliery. Take a short drive to visit the port-city Sunderland, or the coastal town of Hartlepool. If you'd rather stay local, take a short walk along Blackhall Colliery's beach and explore the caves, or head into the steep wooded valleys of Castle Eden Dene Nature reserve. Head to Seaham 15 minutes up the road to collect the famous Seaham glass, or even walk down and find some at Blackhall's own beach.

Dairy Cottage

We have recently updated our Dairy cottage, by fitting an new kitchenand new windows ! Our Dairy cottage has a double room and a twin room, a modern bathroom, and a cosy living/dining/kitchen area with Smart TV and a wood burning stove ----- the stove is just for fun, there is gas central heating as well to keep it toasty warm. Set on a working sheep farm, the cottage is a great base for local attractions like Beamish Museum, Durham and Hadrian's wall.
