Cosy rural cottage

Our self-contained cottage is set within our rural, mature garden and surrounded by farmland just off State Highway 1. We are 15 minutes from the centre of Taupo with all the tourist attractions, golf courses and our beautiful lake a 10-15 minute drive away. It is a 50 minute drive to Rotorua and 90 minutes to the ski fields. Relax in our cosy cottage after exploring the beautiful Lake Taupo district or visiting for work or play. The cottage is private up from the main house with easy parking.

A small but special little place tucked neatly between rolling hills. Kawakawa Hut provides a simple but comfy getaway for two in a beautiful countryside. Close by lies the vegetable garden, and friendly cows graze just over the fence. Further out over surrounding farmland you can see Tongariros snow capped mountains in the distance, so sit back and enjoy. Our modern home is 15 minutes drive from Taupo but still feels like a secret hideaway. It is quiet and private with majestic views of Lake Taupo and Mount Ruapehu - the sunsets are stunning. Perfect for a getaway all year round with outdoor areas and BBQ, large windows and an indoor, double-sided fireplace. We are 5 minutes from the very beautiful Whakaipo Bay, a quiet spot to walk or have a swim. You can also enjoy plenty of bush walks around the area. Hairdryer/toiletries/iron not provided

The White Cottage

A quaint traditional period home set at the edge of a 100 acre farm. Although it is one of 3 homes on the property it still very much retains its unique quiet country feel. You’ll love the cottage because of its outdoor views down the valley, neighboring farmlets & dairy farms. It has extensive outdoor space being adjacent to the local forest park. My place is good for couples, small families. Being a hobby farm there is stock on the property which can be easily viewed from the cottage.

Welcome! - Please read our reviews! The River View and Studio rooms are spacious and comfortable queen bedrooms each with their own en-suite bathroom. Overlooking beautiful gardens often home to native birds, down to the Waikato river. These quiet rooms share a lounge and kitchen area and outdoor patio. The upstairs bedroom is accessed by an external staircase. The rooms are fully air conditioned and double glazed to ensure they are lovely and warm on even the coolest of Taupo winter days.

Converted woolshed, set on a small farm of 25 hectares. We have cows and horses. We are 15 min from Taupo town. The Woolshed is separate from our home, giving you privacy during your stay. From the deck area/French doors all you will see is farmland! We are directly off SH1, down a long drive way, making this a great location for those wanting a place to stay during a road trip, but also quiet and peaceful if you want a few days away!
