Here you will find most things, including swimming pools. Lots of opportunities for great mountain hiking and other nature experiences all year round. Svandalen Ski Center is 15 min away by car. The cabin is rented out to guests who respect that they live in our private cabin and are NOT rented out for parties and private events.

Idyllic old wooden villa from the 1930s with a magnificent view of the sea. It is a beautiful place to rent for tourists or others visiting this part of Norway. And it comes with a long-running family history. The kitchen and the bathroom have been completely renovated and have a top modern standard. In front of the house is Galleri Solbakkestova with its associated sculpture garden which is always open to the general public. Around the house, goats graze, and you overlook some free range hens, and some alpacas across the road. The cabin is located a bit by itself on the edge of a farm, beautifully situated on the slope down towards the idyllic Riskedalsvatnet. From the dining table or the terrace there is a view of the water. The cottage was built in the late 1980s, but has been completely refurbished with modern color choices in 2020. You will find everything you need in this cabin.

We highly recommend a hike to Himakånå or to visit the local climbing park "Klatreparken Høyt og Lavt Nedstrand". It is also possible to take a day trip to the Pulpit Rock.
